I agree with your list but Clowney’s creation goes beyond the stats sheet. He was a high grade advantage rusher and Mut 21 coins lead the league in dropbacks that is disrupted. His was around 10% which is unfortunate although Ordinarily the conversion rate on qb hits to sack is 45-50 percent. Compare that to someone like Shaq Barrett who had been close clowney but was someone in the typical range with this stat.To be fair, I’m more confused with the absence of cards from Madden NFL. How I build my team is that I scroll through the 96-99 overalls on auction, I then hunt for their electricity ups and have to work. When I was looking the other day, there’s like almost no alternative for RG. I then spent all this time and training construction up Khalil Mack to find out Darius Leonard has a far greater card once booted and it was a hell of a lot cheaper.
Same thing for my ILB, I had been utilizing Deion Jones, ” I find out Tahir Whitehead and A.J. Johnson both have 99 tackling. Wut? All this time that I’ve been attempting to build up the big names when these under cards have killer stats. I’ve always felt they should do a selection of like men who absolutely dominated in school. Give me guys like Tim Tebow, Vince Young, Reggie Bush, Darren McFadden, CJ Spiller Jeremy Shockey, Orlando Pace, Charles Woodson, Eric Berry, Etc. In addition, I wish they would add more former Madden NFL players for every team. Only for your Saints, give us Marques Colston, Jahri Evans, Darren Sproles, Roman Harper, Jon Vilma, Will Smith, Zach Strief and such. I love having Deuce McAllister and Tracy Porter, give us some more amazing former men. Sorry lol, got side tracked there, but ya just my thoughts on it.
EA provides those guys good cards cause they are great in madden. Mays and the skillsets of Vick translate nicely into Madden NFL. As for Clowney, he is pretty great in real life and was clearly one of the better options for a FA master. Giving someone a good card in Madden since they are great in Madden is the egg and chicken. Clowney has rate but his pass rush stats don’t reflect his production. He not locking up tier receivers on article routes. Skill sets doesn’t interpret to Madden. To jumping routes which aren’t 13, no career interceptions doesn’t translate. Rate translates but his precision doesn’t.
Maybe I’m stubborn, but giving him a 96 (yes it was halfway through the mut cycle, gotta make him useable ) is a tiny ridiculous. He obtained one card, and it’s clearly in recognition of his own SB accomplishment. I believe that it’s more deserving than the top end cards Shaz gets year after year. This is your first full season since his injury and that he had been becoming wild cards way before that. Rate that is higher and high jumping, of course he’s going to buy Madden 21 coins become a favorite MUT card, he was not a future hall of famer though.
