27m here, I used to be ADDICTED to Runescape about 15 decades back. I think I’ve sank hundreds if not thousands of hours to RuneScape. I’m just wonderingare there now two versions of Runescape? New & old? Are still being upgraded? There’s OSRS and RS3. OSRS is an updated version of RuneScape (beginning with the 2007-version) that does not include the brand new combat system and RS gold images that came out using all the Evolution of Combat. It’s closer to the memories you have of Runescape. RS3 is your game that’s been continuously updated over time. Combat is more lively and graphics are high quality. Compared to OSRS combat is more like World of Warcraft in that you have a succession of abilities that you use as you struggle.
There are several other differences but both games have their particular strengths/weaknesses which RuneScape players generally prefer over the other. Both games still receive new content and updates, but the mechanics of both are extremely different. Both are being upgraded, Runescape (occasionally called”Runescape 3″) is your evolution/direct descendent of Runescape Classic and Runescape 2, and thus in the event that you log into your account you’re going to locate your character. It’s significantly more content than OSRS, overhauled graphics, a more contemporary MMO-style combat system (although you can use the classic combat system if you want for a lot of solo PVE/quest content), etc..
OSRS is based from a 2007 build of Runescape – a bigger portion of the upgrades to RuneScape are located off community feedback. It does have different content than Runescape, like different quests and a few different bosses, but it does not have as much in the end of the day. They are both still actively developed. You forgot to mention that RS3 is a p2w game today with buyable xp and offers to buy xp pushed in your faced everytime you log into. Id recommend beginning with osrs. It hasn’t been launched for long, right?
If you’re chasing nostalgia I would recommend OSRS, differently give a try! You can use the exact same account on OSRS Gold For Sale both versions (though not in the specific same moment ) so if you buy membership you are effectively buying membership on either. Yes! Whichever game you start on, it takes over to the game if you buy membership in an account. That said, the courses have diverged a good deal through the years, they are really like two games now.
