Sanchi Stupa built by Mauryan king, Ashoka after conquering the battle of Kalinga and embraced Buddhism. It was the first stupa which was erected by Ashoka in 3rd century B.C. later many other stupas and Buddhist edifices. It has been one of the best evident, which is blended with Mauryan art and architecture. In 1818, Sanchi Stupa was discovered by British archeologist.
