Despite the sustained popularity that the franchise has enjoyed, the absence of diligence to improve the quality of the annual installment affected sales from “NBA 2K21.” The negative impact on sales will likely increase with “NBA 2K22” as it has failed to improve the level of quality that the franchise has 2K MT. The game has been able to improve its graphics steadily, however this isn’t enough if there’s a lack of substance everywhere else.
The biggest problem with “NBA 2K22” is how unrealistic and boring its gameplay is. Loading into an offline game shows the flaws of the non-player-controlled (NPC) teammates and rivals. Throughout the show, the player can observe these players running out of bounds for no reason, shoot out of bounds and make poor basketball choices. The intelligence of the computers controlled players used to be an advantage of the series, but there hasn’t really been any improvements in this area since the first half of 2010.
The lack of focus on this feature is happening alongside the rise of “MyTeam” and “MyCareer,” two game modes of “NBA 2K22” which give players an extreme advantage that are only possible if they spend more money in order to make their team or player better. The two game modes are the most played, and it’s difficult to be competitive without spending more money.
The most lucrative game, “MyTeam,” is virtually identical to the previous two installments. The game’s mode is purchasing an “card pack” of basketball players hidden — players buy a “card pack” hoping to locate a great player, like Michael Jordan or Lebron James Buy NBA 2K22 MT Coins.
