Members would benefit from the benefits of free trade, which would make it more attractive for them to join. In addition to OSRS gold playing a game that is enjoyable and would keep them playing longer, they would also be better off upgrading to members. At the same time however it would be unpopular for freeplayers, especially since it could result in the wilderness having to need to be removed once more. PvP world could be re-instated as a free play area and also provide those player who preferred PvP over the previous Wildy a place where they could PK there.
Jagex’s integrity, however, would suffer the most damage. Although it would make the game more fun, some players might see it as indecisiveness or lying to return the wild. However, from a business perspective, those who get mad and leave would mainly be players who are free and do not produce near the same amount of income, and could help the player base in the long run.
While this alone probably won’t solve all of the botting issues of free players (as as it doesn’t do anything for members), I think it’s reached the point where a significant action like this would be needed to stop the RWTers and bring freeplay back to the game that I knew. Jagex must intensify their efforts in combating bot makers and bots, as well as show visible progress and give public updates.
The most crucial thing Jagex must accomplish is to restore the faith of its players. Jagex needs to show that they can run the game. Right now, it seems like it’s completely out of their hands. This is my favorite game. However, I cannot deny that it is also the one that I am most close to buy RuneScape Mobile gold quitting. Thank you for taking the time to read my teenage thoughts late at late at night.
