Although I acknowledge the PSO2 Meseta translation often try too difficult to follow along with along with Japanese text, and frequently don’t convey what’s really being said.
To be fair, at the time the participant is no longer a newcomer, and the game pops a message when you hit level 70 that she has new client orders for you.
I know what you mean though. Though I feel this is the way PSO2 was created; it doesn’t try to maintain player’s hands at all.
Take force. You unlock fusion techs at level 70 however NOWHERE in the match does it tell you . You need to go upstairs in the main lobby and speak to an npc you have never had to previously talk to to do a customer order to unlock them.
I can understand the issue. The game essentially front loads so much shit they expect one to read for a game I do not even know if I will enjoy or not.
My experience had been such:”Oh phantasy star is out on steam now I’ll check it out to see if I even care about it”, do intro stuff for a few nice gameplay. Game screeches to a stop and bombards me with textbox after text box and after that the intro video, I must keep talking to people for more text boxes. Then tutorials I get by talking to NPC that I do not recall being led into at the first place for matters like such and the mag. I then visit every NPC has like 5 orders that I don’t even understand what is happening. So today I am like 30-40 minutes in (probably more) once I even created my character and I have not even done a single assignment out that initial one.
This was all on top of trying to figure out how the menus are even layed outside or function, so I just forgot shit. Shit whether I could reaccess the tutorials to get I still don’t know. At some point I just stopped going through this”simplicity in” procedure they have you do since it was getting so much to keep track of so quick when all I needed to do was see if I even like the sport.
Like with your example of arks missions in the start, I quickly forgot that even existed due to all the other tutorials it silenced me with (IIRC the minute after you’re made to start the arks mission page it loads that video about PSO2). I thought for performing things, those popups was deposited somewhere until I went back to check the assignment menu that was arks after. Not just that but there is so many things listed there that I never read all so even what it might lead you also were lost on me since I did not feel like keeping up with customer orders/arks missions/tutorials/trying to buy meseta pso2 play the game so early.
