They are not doing anything though. They published a statement full of empty rhetoric. You understand what doing something is? Not making yet another Madden game because the NFL penalized players for taking a knee, like Kaepernick. That would be Mut 21 coins impressive. However, we all know that’s not what is currently going to occur. The simple fact that folks here are acting like this is a meaningful gesture is indeed fucking baffling. EA literally went out of its way to wash his name out of their Madden NFL 2 years but this thread is making it look like they’ve donated millions.
Wait, why don’t you? If I am hurt by a buddy of mine and made an attempt to be nice I would want to tell them I appreciate their efforts. Positive reinforcement is a great thing. It helps people behave who’s to say it can’t create a company act also? It is well worth rewarding them for it like it’s worth for doing their finest to get a 23, rewarding a problem kid. The difference is you positively reinforce ACTION, not words. EA (and people in general) should not support black people for any reason beyond the fact that it’s the correct thing to do. Benefits come from great behavior, you should not be on good behaviour for the added benefits.
Once I visit EA contribute to the causes or implement efforts to assist out black programmers or things of this sort, then I’ll praise them. We stop allowing companies off the hook and just should demand a higher standard. I that cancel civilization is largely poor and people should be invited to alter and improve. But we shouldn’t allow firms that are, at the end of the afternoon, looking to remove all barriers to play ourselves. I’ve been stung by promises many times.
This is really where I see this debate. Corporations are not people, they do not have any built-in moral instincts. Should they behave morally, it is because they gain, there is no other reason. Either because there is pressure internally from their workers to act in a way consistent with the morals and beliefs of their employees, or pressure from consumers or governments. And I believe that is true for people too: if you want someone to behave in a moral way the ideal way to do that’s to give them the right incentives and benefits to make acting morally the best and most attractive option for them. Your society will be unstable, if you do.
Why don’t you support them in doing both? Words are actions, in many cases. Placing an overview of belief like this out isn’t simple. I’d hope they’re also doing stuff items to create the lives of the black employees better but that does not mean I need to take care of this as meaningless. Putting a public statement is actually a fantastic step forward for initiatives such as that, because if EA isn’t doing enough then it’s really simple for people tirelessly to say”Look, our actions are cheap Madden nfl 21 coins materially distinct from our stated principles and we should do something about that.”
