A brand new interface was introduced with RS gold similar menus to those that you were shown during the tutorial but now a chat box appeared with hundreds of people speaking to one another at the same time. It was so hard to comprehend what they were saying in Runescape jargon, that you could spend several hours listening to what players said. Lumbridge was your first destination.
There was no one to hear because there would be numerous players engaged in private conversations. After some time, someone would reply “This is Lumbridge, located in Swans Sydney”. You’d immediately ask what Lumbridge is and be taken around.
You remember the first steps that took you to Varrock, the chicken coup and later the cow farm? Yep, you sure do. Always someone offered to take you on a tour and give a brief overview of the Free To Play section. They would later become your first online friend and someone who would stick with you for the majority of your Runescape adventure.
I reply to the person who sent me an email, explaining that Jagex was notified of my existence and I will not use Jagex services again (and I don’t plan to) or send them an email. Jagex sent me a second email shortly after. Jagex (which is the name I assume is the real Jagex) tells me that the initial message I received was sent by a fake sender. They used Jagex to conceal their real address. They claimed they wanted to cheap RuneScape gold phish my account, etc.
Now, I’m trying to ensure that this is not a common scam. Is it an ad or something? Is anyone else getting emails that threaten Jagex with lawsuits? I was surprised that Jagex sent me this message, without ever telling me about previous account appeals which were rejected. You may be able to see the way in which Jagex was in 2012. Would they try to sue me for selling my account? It’s likely to cause the company more harm than good.
