As a PSO2 Veteran, This is far better meseta pso2 than that which I could hope for. The amount Darker, of brutality is really a real threat and the sense of crisis is nicely shown here. I did not expect them to show us this much although I understand what going to happen! The pacing is good too. Also, they DON’T grind and combine their weapons and units before going on pursuit. I wager MC was doing much harm because weap is +10 & at least power + electricity v and some spirit, and all other novices were utilizing +0 without a affix.
They likely discussed matters with SEGA on how to deal with these names so it’ll be consistent when PSO2 drops for Western palyers next year. But I agree, it is weird. Especially when there’s a bit disconnect between the sound and subtitles, such as if they shout”Code D!” (such as”Darker”) but the subtitles say”Code F”. Funny.I was wondering what titles were changed. I checked the comments yesterday early and individuals made it look like all of the character or something. Would you think Falspawn is the localized title at Phantasy Star Online 2 or something?
Nah was Falspawn which I personally thought was a option. That isn’t a big deal as long as the pronunciation kinda makes sense and rather remains true to the original titles. I’m overall kinda satisfied with the translation options to the names.Pretty jarring as well because the Audio clearly stated Darkers and D-Factor lol. Naberius gets a pass since it is pretty near sound sensible, but still strange as a player I’d say.
I was expecting all the planet names to be different from what I am used to. The character names are proving to be somewhat more difficult to adjust to, as well as like you mentioned concerning the audio/subtitle disconnect.Like that the Vopar – Wopal shift I guess the v in Naverius was really intended from the beginning but it’s b in the fan translation because in Japanese a v is generally represented by a b noise unless the Japanese really bothers to spell it correctly in katakana to buy Phantasy Star Online 2 Meseta. However they rarely do cause they often don’t know the gap to the point of thinking English words really using b that appear in Japanese are in fact written using a v initially, sometimes leading to a fairly awkward Engrish.
