Microsoft Edge, the company’s latest Internet browser is now available. It was launched alongside Microsoft Windows 10 to replace Internet Explorer. Windows 10 ships pre-installed with Edge browser. office.com/setup
A new version of Microsoft Edge, which is based on Chromium, was launched in January 2020. The new Edge browser is lighter than the original Edge browser and performs better. It is built on Chromium and offers many of the same menu options and features as Chrome. It is also compatible with Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 8.1.
You can download the latest version of Microsoft Edge directly from the Microsoft Edge Download Page or through the Windows Update process.

The old Edge will remain installed for usability reasons, but Windows will hide it. It has a new logo that lets you know you are using the new Edge. Instead of a simple blue “e”, it has a blue-and green swirl.
The latest Edge browser will automatically be updated if you have Windows 10 May 2020, November 2019 Update or May 2019 Update.
